Friday and Saturday we spend most of the day exploring the city, meeting people and working on our Facebook page. It is exciting and interesting talking with those who take the initiative to poke their head in and say Hi. We’ve encountered many college students as well as families and kids. It is a great experience to talk to and interact as a team/company on a personal level with those we encounter. Driving through the city turns heads and usually turns lips into smiles.
As Saturday night rolled around we met up with Marty Pesis of SociaLink Media and cruised to the Lake of the Isles. It was a still night and seeing the city reflections over the water was calming and peaceful. A lone plane few overhead and the colors of the lights pulled into the sky made me consider the media in which one uses to present affect the object at its most basic form. Film shows the plane moving, photography shows the movement of the plane. The houses surrounding the lake were unbelievable, you know you’ve got a big house when we’re debating whether your house is a cathedral or a personal pad. We saw houses that had full trees on the inside as well as a car hanging on the wall as artwork.
Sunday, we were fortunate enough to be able to take the bus around the city and have some wonderful shots of us and the bus by photographer Ali Rogers (pictures coming soon). I sit on the bus now, on the way to Ely, MN, knowing that what has started will continue to develop into a beautiful life.
